The Main Hacienda...The main hacienda at Casa Adobe is a stand-alone adobe home originally constructed more than 70 years ago (see photos). In 2008, it was completely renovated into a cozy and comfortable Country Inn/Bed & Breakfast. Because the house and grounds are surrounded by a flowing adobe-style wall, it offers complete privacy, but still retains the magical views of the nearby mountains and star-lit night skies that can be enjoyed from any of the three patios. Casa Adobe has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a living room with a full-size sofa bed, a spacious bathroom (shower only; no tub), laundry room with modern ultra-efficient washer and dryer, and a kitchen. The living room is equipped with a large flat-panel LCD television and DVD/CD player with many movie selections provided. There is also a modest library of books and nature (birding and western culture) magazines. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, hotplate, dishes and utensils. There is a barbecue on the covered patio.

The Tree House...The "Tree House" at Casa Adobe is our newest addition (see photos). It is a completely renovated small one-bedroom (one full-size bed) guest house that stands about 100 meters from the main hacienda. The Tree House is so named because of its 12x24 ft. raised wood deck that wraps around an enormous old Desert Willow tree. Steps from the bedroom there is a rustic "cowboy" bathroom (also built on a raised deck) complete with an antique clawfoot tube for soaking those tired bones after a long day. We even provide the meditation music and candles for your relaxation. Three shaded patio areas, desert southwest landscaping and numerous feeders invite a diversity of birds onto the grounds for your viewing pleasure. The tree house costs less than the Main Hacienda, but rest assured it is no less comfortable and private.

Breakfast and Other Meals
(served at the main hacienda only)...

A complimentary "Welcome Basket" with fruit, wine, chocolate and other goodies is our way of saying "Thanks for coming". In the refrigerator you will find such breakfast essentials as milk, cream, free-range chicken eggs, orange juice, bagels or English muffins, fruit preserves, sugar, honey, yogurt, butter and spices. In the cupboards are coffee, tea, cereals, oatmeal and raisins. We supplement these choices with fresh-out-of-the-oven muffins, coffee cake, and cookies (e.g., our famous peanut butter/chocolate chip/pecan ~ a favorite!).

Ofcourse, you may also choose to have breakfast at any of our local country cafes listed below. With the exception of the Rodeo Grocery and Cafe, which only serves breakfast and lunch, these establishments also serve dinner.

Note...We usually stock in the freezer a few TV dinners and ice cream (extra fee for these) for those times when you just don't want to venture out.

Rodeo Country Store & RV Park (575.557.2510) ~3 blocks away; breakfast, lunch and sometimes even dinner; also, the ONLY gas/diesel around; plus groceries and tobacco products; open 7 days.
Portal Peak Cafe (520.558.2223) ~short 9-mile drive to the mouth of beautiful Cave Creek Canyon; breakfast, lunch and dinner are served every day (almost); country cooking; wine and beer; groceries + nature books + nature gifts.
The Rodeo Tavern (575.557.2229) ~ just a short stroll a few blocks north from Casa Adobe; American cuisine; pizza; full bar with a nice family style restaurant; dinner only served Wednesday through Saturday.
Southwest Research Station (520.58.2396) ~ 15 miles from Casa Adobe in the dramatic heart of Cave Creek Canyon; serves a cafeteria style breakfast, lunch and dinner with reservations at least 24 hours in advance; menu varies but typically quite good in a beautiful mountain meadow setting with dramatic red cliffs as a backdrop.

Other Amenities and Considerations... Laundry Facilities...A high-efficiency, ultra-quiet, front-loading washer and dryer are available in Casa Adobe for guest use. Gasoline & Diesel...available (most of the time) at the Rodeo Country Store & RV Park (575.557.2510). House Cleaning...services will be provided every fourth day (or once per 7-day stay). Daily cleaning is available upon request for an additional fee of $35 per day. Phone Service...Local and toll-free calls may be made from Casa Adobe. Long distance calls will require a calling card, credit card or other form of payment. Note...There is NO cellular phone coverage in the Rodeo area. Internet Access...Sorry, not yet at Casa Adobe, but available next door in our home and elsewhere. Pet Policy...One small house-trained family pet (dog or cat) is permitted with a non-refundable deposit of $25 per night. Note...Guests are responsible for the well being of their pets and shall not hold Casa Adobe liable in any capacity for lost, stolen, injured or sick pets. Pet damages (e.g., torn curtains, damaged furnishings, etc.) will be charged to the guest account. Smoking...Casa Adobe is a smoke-free environment. Quiet Enjoyment of Premises...Casa Adobe B&B is intended to be a quiet and serene environment designed primarily for personal relaxation and reflection. Loud or otherwise unruly groups who disrupt the ability of neighbors or other guests to enjoy peace and quiet on the premises will be asked to leave.
